Our Story

Insight Support Services opened its doors in 1993. Prior to that Debbie and Julie worked supporting children and families with different abilities and challenges. Believing there was a better way to deliver services to the individuals they worked on behalf of, they set out to do just that. Insight Support Services started with a small team of 4 staff and today has a multidisciplinary team of 50 dedicated and talented people.  The foundation values of the agency are based on authentic relationships with children and families, trust , open communication, and valuing an individual’s unique gifts. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to supporting individuals in reaching their full potential, and the diversity of clients is reflected in the diversity of the staff team at Insight.

Our Mission

Our Story

As Insight has grown, the team has maintained its commitment to current best practices for children and families.  We strongly believe in continuous improvement in the services we provide to our clients and students, and ensure this through ongoing differentiated professional development for staff and parents/caregivers. We believe parents and caregivers know their children best and it is only in partnership with parents that we can effectively address the unique needs of children and youth.

Insight Support services is a space for individuals and families to feel heard, understood and valued; a safe place where we all belong.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our Mission

Insight Support Services strives to be a vehicle spearheading positive change in the way services to children, youth and families living with special needs and other developmental conditions are delivered. This results in every individual having the necessary building blocks to be successful and have a belief in their future. As well, it also gives them the promise of belonging in some meaningful way in this, their community - a community where family is core and diversity is celebrated.
