Can-Do-It Program

 Empowering Youth with Essential Skills for Life and Work


The Can Do It Program is designed for youth aged 13 to 18 with developmental exceptionalities, providing a supportive and engaging environment to build practical life, work, and social skills.


Program Details:
Location: Insight Support Services
When: Tuesdays or Thursdays
Time: 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.


What to Expect:
Participants engage in hands-on activities such as cooking, collaborative art projects, and team-building games. Each activity is designed to:


  • Foster planning and organization skills
     
  • Encourage teamwork and cooperation
     
  • Strengthen social communication and conflict resolution
     
  • Support the development of executive functioning for future vocational success
     

The program emphasizes real-world learning through structured, experience-based sessions that help youth become more independent, confident, and socially connected.


Additional Information:


  • A healthy snack is provided during each session. Participants are asked to bring a reusable water bottle.
     
  • Drop-off and pick-up take place at the front entrance of Insight Support Services.
     
  • Transportation support may be available in exceptional circumstances, depending on participant needs and availability.
     

Referral Required:


Participants must be referred by the CYSN (Children and Youth with Support Needs) Team.

Announcement regarding the FASD FAMILY & FRIENDS celebration
