Insight Support Services Summer Campout

For over 15 years Insight has provided a summer campout for children and youth.  Join us for an unforgettable outdoor adventure at Knouff Lake Resort, specially organized for neurodiverse kids our Senior Camp will be 3 nights and 4 days is for youth aged 13 to 18.  This unique camping trip offers a blend of nature exploration, recreational activities, and the opportunity to connect with the environment and peers in a supportive, inclusive setting away from computers, phones, and video games. 

 

Camping Trip Highlights:

  • Nature Exploration: Campers will discover the beauty of Knouff Lake and its surrounding areas through guided nature walks, wildlife spotting, and environmental education activities.
  • Water Activities: Enjoy the serene waters of Knouff Lake with supervised swimming, canoeing, and paddleboarding, perfect for cooling off and having fun in the sun.
  • Campfires and Storytelling: Evenings will be spent around the campfire, where kids can roast marshmallows, share stories, and participate in group games that foster camaraderie and social skills.
  • Arts and Crafts: Engage in creative activities such as nature crafts and painting, allowing campers to express themselves artistically in a natural setting.

 

Adaptive and Inclusive Environment: We are committed to creating a camping experience that is comfortable and accessible for neurodiverse children. Our facilities include quiet zones, sensory-friendly activities, and an adaptable schedule to cater to the individual needs of our campers.

Expert, Compassionate Staff: Our team is trained in both outdoor education and neurodiversity awareness. They are dedicated to ensuring a safe, nurturing, and enjoyable experience for all campers, helping them to develop confidence and a deeper connection with nature.
