As a parent or guardian, we know that you are looking for the best option for your child's education, and we believe that we are the right choice. Our curriculum is based on British Columbia Educational Standards. It is designed to broaden our student's academic knowledge in a safe, positive environment. Having small groups in each class allows for individualized instruction to students on all levels of neurodiversity. We also maintain a low teacher-to-student ratio that ensures all students get the support they need while still working as independently as their abilities allow.
We recognize that teaching style is fundamental when educating students with neurodiversity. Every student has an individualized educational plan that includes measurable social and academic progress goals. We use a variety of technology in a classroom, focusing on combining each child's unique gifts to build behavioural mechanisms to draw on when needed. By integrating strong behaviour strategies into each program, each student at Insight will develop a skill set that will stay with them by offering a foundation of confidence and skills to become a stronger student.
We specialize in providing education to students with neurodiversity from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Low teacher to student ratios are maintained to maximize individual attention and address each student's needs. At the Insight Education Program, your child will learn academic core content along with Art, Physical Education, Life Skills, and STEM programming.
Students are engaged with hands-on teachers who provide a multi-sensory approach to learning and real-world experiences.
Structured to engage students working on primary level curriculum. Our Elementary Program will get students off on the right foot for the rest of their education. Focusing primarily on the student's behavioural goals to manage their academic competencies more efficiently.
In our intermediate program, the primary focus is on meeting students' social-emotional goals while offering an individualized curriculum based on BC Ministry of Education standards while encouraging their joy for learning.
Students receive differentiated instruction in math, science, language arts, social studies, the arts, and physical education. Instruction is provided according to the needs of the students by utilizing specific materials or programs to improve competence in those areas.
The general curriculum is aligned with the BC Ministry of Education standards and modified to the individual student according to their needs. Instruction is delivered individually, in small groups, and in-class groupings.
Our High School program follows the graduation requirements of the BC Ministry of Education. We prepare students for a range of post-secondary opportunities, whether they earn a full high school diploma or an adult graduation certificate. Students may utilize options from a variety of pathways by attending core classes and exploring areas of interest, including but not limited to coding, cooking, physical education and technology.
