SUMMER “WORKABILITY’ PROGRAM 2023

The “WORKABILITY” Program provides youth with opportunities to learn job readiness, social and life skills in a safe setting. The youth must be between the ages of 13 and 19.


The skills that the successful applicants will be exposed to will include:

Organizing a schedule to complete designated tasks

Identifying skills needed to complete certain tasks

Problem solving

Team work

Filling in time sheets

Adhering to Work Safe B.C. standards e.g. having to wear safety goggles and close-toed shoes

Identifying tools appropriate for the job and learning to use them safely


The program runs for 6 weeks, one day a week for 4 hours each day beginning the week of: Tuesday, July 11, 2023 and ending the week of Tuesday Aug. 15, 2023. 

Typically, the program starts at 9:00 a.m. and finished at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

*CONFORMATION OF DATES, START TIMES AND ACTUAL LOCATIONS WILL BE MADE AT A LATER DATE.

The projects that we have been involved with in the past include:

Weeding,  Painting, Brushing horses/dogs,  Watering animals, Feeding the animals,  Raking the stalls, Playground maintenance, Raking up droppings in the yard

· Brushing and walking donkeys – new this year
